This is a my pretentious art film. Filmed in high-contrast black and white, it’s the story of a man contemplating suicide over the loss of his love. There is almost no dialog, the only sound is the pounding electronic soundtrack by the great Rudy Sanwald. This film was long in the making. I thought of the idea many years ago. Staring up at the clear blue sky I realized what a great blue screen it would make. I had an image of the sky turning to blackness in a split second. That image made the basis for the story and I wrote the shotlist backwards and forwards from that one scene.
I sat on this shot list for a long time before I decided to finally film it. The great actor Steven Babitsky was available and perfect for the main role. Erica Nighswander and Vic Fraternale were there to fill out the cast and a perfect location became available. Everything clicked and one weekend we all drove down to Philadelphia, and with the help of talented brother Todd, we filmed it over 2 days and 2 sleepless nights. The finished product was remarkably close to my shot list and storyboards. I’m hoping this is one that will make you feel something.

Great acting. Great directing. Great soundtrack. Universal message. Enough said.

Another film that just looks amazing to watch. And the soundtrack is awesome and fits so well with the film. The directing and acting is done all so well. Definitely a progression from She’s Coming to this one, definitely can see where Patrick has grown as a director and can get what he envisions on film for others to watch. I love being a part of the films, and I love watching Patrick direct. He’s made me a fan since the first one.

Congrats, Pat, on making it to the NJ Int’l Film Festival. The film represents your fine ability to realize your original idea, with a flexibility to add to that idea on set. I was happy to be a part of this production, to stare and stomp and shake and break. Although the film is slightly prescient, Erica definitely wants to be there on the 24th.
