We’re breaking dancing to save the community center by letting everyone know what movies we’ve watched recently. Z is then going to use a dead body possessed by Voodoo magic to find the meaning of Begotten in Cinema Sodomy. Next we realize that Nilbog is Goblin spelled backwards (Grandpa Seth!) when we review La Ciénaga and The Headless Woman by Lucrecia Martel in our Filmmakers Corner, as well as pick a new filmmaker.
Our main topic today (as if you can’t tell) is Sequels, what makes them good, what makes them bad, and if they are worth our time. Finally, we go on a bogus journey with Z in the Pop Quiz.
It’s our end of year spectacular! In this episode we forgo our usual format to bring you our top 5 favorite movies of 2017. We’ll also discuss our thoughts on the film year in general, and discuss our hopes for the upcoming film year.
